the Project - Venice from Above

The project "Venice from Above" (Venezia dall'alto) gives you the extraordinary and exclusive opportunity of admiring Venice and her Lagoon from a unique perspective. This project was made possible by the photographer and aviator, Giampaolo Agostinelli, who began experiencing this thrill while practicing free-fall parachuting over San Nicolò del Lido airfield. His flights in the Venetian skies as a private pilot, thanks to his relations with the Aeronautical authorities and the Police Flying Units, allowed him to develop a special photographic narration that is found here, translated in a series of fascinating images.

There is always something special in seeing any landscape or city from the sky; this is specially true for Venice. Here in this book, you are guided to its discovery, and you are then able to see places and detail which are normally hidden at a human scale.

Warmly received by the public and the media, (e.g. see the article on: "Take Off - Inside Venezia" (airports' magazine), feb 2010) this work lead to produce:

• the photo book, in different languages, sizes, and bindings (book cover can be personalised with a company logo, after a minimum quantity order)
• the table calendar (also the calendar can be personalised with a company logo, after a minimum quantity order)
• posters
• an important feature is the opportunity to order a photo print - even in large scale - of any picture in the book.
