  VERNISSAGE OF THE PHOTO EXHIBIT and PRESENTATION OF THE BOOK: 12 February 2010

  Friday 12 February 2010 at 5.30 PM at Giudecca 795 Art Gallery will host the presentation of the new photo book "VENEZIA DALL'ALTO - VENICE FROM ABOVE", together with the opening of the photo exhibit of some of the aerial photos by Giampaolo Agostinelli that make up the photo book of the same title. The book, in bilingual edition (Italian/English), featuring a preface by the City Councillor for Cultural Production, is published by AWD - specialist in aerial photography - and is curated by journalist Rosalba Giorcelli. The show will be held from 12 to 18 February 2010. During the opening on 12 February beginning at 5:30 pm, there will be a presentation of the photo book, again with hot cups of cocoa.
  
  More than one hundred color photos have been selected, most in full page or double page for a spectacular "full immersion" in the city from above. Brief descriptions and maps have been added to help readers find their bearings in the maze that is Venice. This is the very first photographic book about Venice to feature the Ponte della Costituzione (the Calatrava Bridge) from above (it is the fourth and newest bridge to span the Grand Canal), but it is only one of the many reasons why this book is so special. It's as if one were dreaming of flying over Venice.
  A special feature of this project: upon the client's request, every photo of the book can be printed in big size on various media
  The opening of the photo exhibit and the presentation of the book "Venezia dall'Alto - Venice from Above" will take place at Giudecca 795 Art Gallery on 12 February 2010 at 5.30 PM, with cups of hot cocoa in homage to the Carnival.
  After the opening, the photo exhibit will continue through 18 February (likely to be extended after the incoming requests); opening hours 3 PM - 8 PM and by appointment.
